What documents do I need for an F-1 visa?▼
For a US F-1 visa, you primarily need your Form I-20 from your university, a DS-160 confirmation page, SEVIS I-901 fee receipt, valid passport, financial documents proving you can pay for the first year, and your academic transcripts.
How much bank balance for a student visa?▼
It depends on the country. For the US, you must show enough for the first year (tuition + living). For the UK, you need to show your tuition fees plus £1,334/month for up to 9 months if in London. For Canada, you must show CAD $22,895 plus your first year of tuition. For Australia, you must show AUD $29,710 for living costs plus travel and tuition.
What is a CAS / I-20 / PAL?▼
These are essential university endorsement documents required to apply for a visa. I-20 is for the USA (issued by a SEVP school). CAS is the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies for the UK. PAL is the Provincial Attestation Letter required for most undergraduate study permits in Canada.
